Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters by Christa Avampato

Series: Emerson Page Book #1
Publisher: Thumbkin Prints

I received a copy of this ebook ARC from the author, Christa Avampato in exchange for an honest review.

Nora was found on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The NYPD said “ We’ve never seen anything like it” and “It’s as if she just fell asleep on the steps of the museum and never woke up”.
This happened five years ago, the police eventually gave up on their search for answers to what happened to Nora.
But Nora’s daughter, 13 year old, Emerson Page wants to know what happened to her mother. Nora was a world-renowned anthropologist. She was well known for her research on ancient cultures and languages.

Emerson’s journey to find out the truth about what happened to her mother’s mysterious death takes her below the streets of New York City on a dangerous adventure into a magical world of books.
She learns the truth about her mother, and her own destiny to continue out her mother’s legacy.
But when a threat arises too close to home, with the survival of human imagination at stake, will Emerson be able to execute her mother’s final wish before it is too late?

I really enjoyed this book. I found it kind of slow in the beginning though, but really picked up its pace. It was an excellent YA novel and I would definitely recommend reading! It was well written and the characters really came to life.I give the book a rating of 5 stars. I look forward to reading more of the series about Emerson Page.
